In a cola beverage, the maximum sweetness intensity (plateau) reached
with neotame is at the sweetness level of a 15.1% sucrose solution.
In water, this plateau is at the sweetness level of a 13.4% sucrose
solution.

The
reducing factor is not constant, but this is common to high-intensity
sweeteners.
Generally for a first evaluation
of neotame needs, a
potency of about 8,000 is used.
